Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
zur Erhöhung der Systemzuverlässigkeit bei
wichtigen Projekten ist es wünschenswert einen
zweiten Controller betriebsbereit zur Hand zu
haben, welcher zum Einsatz kommt, sollte der
eigentliche Controller aus irgend einem Grund
ausfallen (Backup-Gerät).
Dafür brauchen Sie z.B. zwei PFC Advanced
Controller, welche mit der Backup-Funktion
ausgerüstet sind. Damit ist ein zusätzlicher
Schlüsselschalter unten rechts am PFC gemeint.
Grundsätzlich darf immer nur ein Controller
Daten senden. Deshalb gibt es die Backup-
Erweiterung für die Controller, welche es erlaubt
das Sendesignal eines Gerätes bewußt
abzuschalten.
Vorgehensweise: Stellen Sie sicher, daß der
Backup-Schlüsselschalter am Hauptcontroller
auf "Senden Ein" steht und beim Ersatzgerät
"Senden Aus" eingestellt ist. Dann aktivieren
Sie an den beiden Sendern den gewünschten
Zündmodus (Automatischer Zündmodus oder
SMPTE Zündmodus) und stellen beide "scharf".
Jetzt können Sie beide Sender gleichzeitig
starten. Je nach Zündmodus entweder durch
Timecode oder durch gleichzeitiges Drücken der
beiden Feuertasten. Im Fall der Fälle kann
jederzeit das fehlerhafte Gerät auf "Senden
Aus" und das Backup-Gerät auf "Senden Ein"
gestellt werden.
Der Einbau dieser Funktion kostet 69.- Euro
zzgl. MwSt. / Gerät. Bei allen PFS Profi und bei
fast allen PFC Advanced ist eine Nachrüstung
möglich. Bitte klären Sie das vor dem
Einsenden des Gerätes mit uns ab.
Dear Sir or Madam,
to improve the overall system reliability,
especially when it comes to important projects,
it is desirable to have another controller ready-
to-operate which can be used if the actual
controller should fail (i.e. backup device).
You need e.g. two PFC Advanced controllers
which have been equipped with the backup
function. This is an additional key switch on the
right side of the front of the device.
As a general rule only one controller is allowed
to transmit data. Thus the backup function has
been developed as an add-on for the
controllers which enables you to intentionally
switch off the transmission carrier.
How to proceed: Make sure that the key switch
backup is in the position 'Transmit On' at the
main controller and that the backup device is
set to 'Transmit Off'. Then activate the relevant
firing mode at both controllers (automatic firing
mode or SMPTE firing mode) and arm the firing
mode.
Now you can start both devices simultaneously,
depending on the firing mode either by time
code or by simultaneously pressing the firing
buttons. Just in case you can switch the faulty
device to 'Transmit Off' and the backup device
to 'Transmit On'.
The installation of this function is available for
69.00 Euro per device plus VAT. All PFS Profi
and most of the PFC Advanced controllers can
be retrofitted with it. Please check with us
before sending a unit.

Die Terminal-Funktion ist, wie auch die
Stepfunktion, eine optionale Erweiterung für die
Empfänger PFE Advanced 10 Output. Anders als
die Stepfunktion kann diese nur im 10-Output-
Modus betrieben werden.
Mit der Terminal-Funktion ist es Ihnen möglich,
die Zünddauer der Outputs genau zu
bestimmen und jeden Output mit mehreren
Zündkanälen zu programmieren. Ein typisches
Beispiel für die Anwendung wäre die Steuerung
von Gas-Flammensäulen, CO2-Jets,
Magnetventilen und vielem mehr. Für DMX-512-
gesteuerte Geräte gibt es Interfaces zum
Anschluß an den Empfänger.
Programmiert wird die Terminal-Funktion in
einem zusätzlichen Menü im Empfänger. Alle
10 Outputs lassen sich mit jedem beliebigen
Zündkanal programmieren. Die Zünddauer
kann im Bereich 0,1 bis 25,0 Sekunden für
jeden Zündkanal mit einer Auflösung von 1/10
Sekunde individuell festgelegt werden.
Durch Nachzünden mit weiteren Zündkanälen
kann die Zünddauer beliebig verlängert werden.
Zusätzlich stehen noch die Funktion "O->I" und
"I->0", also "Dauer-Ein" und "Aus" zur
Verfügung. Dabei bleibt der Output so lange
aktiv, bis Sie z.B. zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt
mit einem anderen Zündkanal den Output mit
der Funktion "I->O" wieder abschalten. Das ist
ideal, um Effektgeräte wie Schnee- und
Windmaschinen entweder automatisch oder
manuell fernzusteuern. Hierzu bieten wir ein
Schalt-Interface für Geräte an, die mit
Netzspannung betrieben werden. Durch die freie
Zuweisbarkeit der Programmierung lassen sich
auch Gruppenfunktionen einfach realisieren
(Zündkanal 1 = Gerät 1 Ein, Zündkanal 2 =
Gerät 2 Ein, Zündkanal 3 = Gerät 3 Ein,
Zündkanal 4 = alle Geräte Ein, Zündkanal 5 =
alle Geräte Aus etc.).

Simuliert wird die Ansteuerung von zehn CO2-
Jets auf einer Bühne.
Der Empfänger PFE Advanced ist äußerst
universell. Durch die Zündspannung von
24 Volt, die direkt dem Akku entnommen wird,
lassen sich Magnetventile und viele andere
Geräte steuern, ohne daß weiteres Equipment
erforderlich ist.
Die Terminal-Funktion kostet
250.- Euro / Gerät zzgl. MwSt. und kann
jederzeit nachgerüstet werden.

The terminal function is like the stepping
extension an optional add-on for the receiver
PFE Advanced 10 Outputs. Unlike the stepping
extension it can only be used in 10 Output
mode.
With the terminal function you are able to
assign several firing channels (cues) to each
output and to individually and precisely
determine the activation duration for each cue.
The typical application for this is the control of
gas flames, CO2 jets and solenoids
(i.e. magnetic valves) to name just a few.
An interface for devices with DMX-512 input
is available to establish the connection to the
receiver's output.
The terminal function is programmed in an
additional menu of the receiver. All of the 10
outputs can be assigned with any firing
channel. The firing duration of each cue can
be individually determined in the range of
0.1 to 25.0 seconds with a resolution of 1/10
seconds. The activation of an output can be
extended arbitrarily by re-firing a cue or firing
other cues which have been programmed to
the same output.
In addition you can use the 'O->I' and 'I->0'
programming, meaning 'permanently on' and
'off'. If doing so the output stays active until
it is switched off later e.g. by firing a cue that
has been assigned with the function 'I->O'.
This comes in handy to remotely control snow
and wind machines either manually or
automatically. A switching interface is available
to control devices that require mains supply.
Due to the soft patching of the cues to the
outputs group functions are easily achieved
(cue 1 = device 1 on, cue 2 = device 2 on,
cue 3 = device 3 on, cue 4 = all devices on,
cue 5 = all devices off, etc.).

The control of ten CO2 jets on a stage is
simulated.
The receiver PFE Advanced is extremely
versatile. The firing voltage of 24 Volts, which
is directly derived from the rechargeable
battery, solenoids and many other devices
can be controlled without any further
equipment being necessary.
The terminal function is available for
