Endlich wieder zuhause im warmen Bayern. Nein halt, Bayern ist ja auch nicht viel wärmer. Also noch mal: Endlich wieder im warmen Büro. Nur gut, dass wir die G-Flame dabei hatten, denn so konnten wir wenigstens für kurze Zeit eine angenehme Wärme auf der Haut spüren. Leider haben unsere Mitaussteller und Kollegen nichts von der Wärme gemerkt.
Aber zurück zum Wesentlichen: Wie im letzten Newsletter angekündigt, möchten wir Euch ein Resümee über die Pyro-World 2011 zu lesen geben.

Unser Sprinter war gepackt und die Reise nach Berlin konnte losgehen. Wir sind ca. um 16 Uhr im Hangar 5 im Flughafen Tempelhof angekommen. Dank der perfekten und mehr als ausreichenden Beschilderung, mussten wir "nur" eine Stunde um den Flughafen herumfahren, bis wir endlich den Eingang fanden. Det jeht, wa?!
Der Standaufbau an sich verlief ohne besondere Vorkommnisse und war um 21 Uhr erledigt.

Nachdem wir dem Messestand den letzten Schliff gegeben hatten, wollten wir noch schnell die G-Flame ausprobieren. Gedacht, getan. G-Flame eingeschaltet und erst einmal schön zwei Flammenbälle, sowie eine satte Flammensäule gezaubert. Schon ging der Feueralarm für 20 Minuten bei 160 Dezibel los. Na ja, wenigstens wußte nun jeder, dass Galaxis auch da ist.

Erster Messetag und gleichzeitig Fachbesuchertag! War es nicht vereinbart, dass es getrennte Bereiche für das Fach- sowie Consumer-Publikum geben würde? Egal, dann ist wenigstens mehr los...!
Noch einmal: Es war Fachbesuchertag. Was soll ich sagen, viel war nicht los. Aber wann hat man schon einmal Zeit, sich ausgiebigst mit seinen Mitausstellern und Kollegen zu unterhalten? Vielleicht war auch das der Sinn des Fachbesuchertages, ich weiß es nicht.

Helau, Alaaf usw. Ich blickte schon gespannt auf die Uhr und erwartete sehnsüchtigst die "Feierliche Eröffnung" der Messe um 11 Uhr 11 vom bekanntesten Pyrotechniker Berlins. Um 12.30 Uhr wurde ich des Wartens überdrüssig und holte mir eine Currywurst, welche liebevoll zubereitet war und sowohl vom Service, als auch geschmacklich jeden Cent wert war. Ein Kollege hatte da weniger Glück: Der musste sich seine „Bulette“ noch einmal durch den Kopf gehen lassen.
Es ging schön langsam auf der Messe auf Feierabend zu und man war auf die Feuerwerke gespannt. Für die Feuerwerke wurde eine große Beschallungsanlage ausreichend für 10.000 Personen zugesichert. Das Feuerwerk kämpfte schwer gegen die massive Lautstärke der vier Aktivlautsprecher Marke JBL Eon an und gewann nur um eine Nasenlänge.

Es war ruhig. Zu ruhig. Entlang den Gängen der sonst 'brechendst vollen Messe' herrschte die eiskalte Stille. Ab und an rollte ein Strauchballen vorbei, wie man ihn aus den Westernfilmen kennt. Gegen 15 Uhr kamen endlich Besucher vorbei. Leider musste ich vielen Besuchern erklären, dass es heute keine 1.000er Bombe geben wird. Das machte aber nichts, denn das überragende Abschlussfeuerwerk, welches als Hochzeitsfeuerwerk getarnt war, machte alles wieder wett. Es ist nun unwiderlegbar, dass der bekannteste Pyrotechniker Berlins seinen Titel zurecht trägt.
Fazit:
Alles in allem war es eine sehr interessante Messe. Es ist nämlich interessant zu sehen wie man es nicht machen sollte. Die Aussteller sind verärgert, das Fachpublikum enttäuscht und die Besucher wurden doppelt abkassiert, wenn sie das Gelände verlassen haben. Ich überlege gerade ob ich nicht zum großen Spendenmarathon aufrufe für ein Carepaket mit Stempeln, Eintrittskarten oder Bändchen. zu schnüren. Oder einen Gesichtsscanner, je nach dem wie viel wir zusammen bekommen.
Zum Schluss noch ein großes Dankeschön an unsere Mitaussteller und Kollegen, wegen der netten Gespräche und dem Zusammenhalt den wir während dieser Zeit für uns alle entdeckt haben. Natürlich auch ein Dankeschön an alle Kunden und Interessenten, welche uns an unserem Messestand besucht haben.

Finally back at home in warm Bavaria. No stop, Bavaria is also not that warm. So again: Finally back in my warm office. Just perfect that we have had the G-Flame on our booth, for that we had at least a warm feeling on our skin for a short time. Unfortunately the other exhibitors and colleagues did not feel anything from it.
But back to the topic: As announced in the last newsletter we would like to give you a resume about the Pyro-World 2011.

Our truck was packed and the journey to Berlin could begin. We arrived at about 4 pm in Hangar 5 at the Airport Tempelhof. Thanks to the perfect and more than enough signposting, we 'only' had to drive about one hour around the airport to find the entrance. Quite okay, isn’t it?!
Setting up the booth was quite easy to handle and was finished at 9 pm.

After polishing the trade show booth for the last time, we wanted to test the G-Flame. Thought, done. So we turned on the G-Flame and did some nice flame balls and a big flame. Then the fire alarm started screaming through the Hangar 5 with 160 decibel for 20 minutes. Well at least everybody knew from that time that Galaxis is here.

First day of the trade show and the day for the professionals! Wasn't it announced that there will be separated areas for professionals and consumers? Doesn’t matter, then we have more visitors…!
Once again: It was the day for the professionals. What can I say, well there was not much traffic. But when do you have time to talk extensively with the other exhibitors and colleagues? Maybe that was the purpose of this day, I don’t know.

Helau, Alaaf and so on. I was looking strained to the clock and was waiting wishfully for the 'celebratory opening' of the fair by the most famous pyrotechnician of Berlin at 11 past 11. At 12.30 I got tired of waiting and grabbed a grilled sausage with curry which was cooked with love and the service and the flavor was worth every cent. A colleague of mine was not that lucky: He had to vomit his 'Bulette' (the German word for 'rissole').
Slowly it went to closing time of the fair and we where excited about the fireworks. The organizer promised a PA system enough for 10.000 people for the fireworks shows. The fireworks fought hard against the massive noise of the four active speakers, type JBL Eon, and was only winning by a short head…

It was calm. Too calm. Through the walks of the normally 'full to bursting fair' ruled the stone-cold silence. From time to time tumbleweed passed by, as you know them from the western movies. Finally there came visitors around 3 pm. Unfortunately I had to explain a lot of them that no 1.000 mm shell will be fired tonight. But that did not matter because of the outstanding closing fireworks show, which was camouflaged as a wedding display. Now it is incontrovertible that the most famous pyrotechnician of Berlin bears his title rightly.
Conclusion:
Altogether it was a very interesting fair, because it is interesting to see how not to do it. The exhibitors are angry, the professionals are disappointed and the visitors had to pay twice if they have left the area. At the moment I think about calling for a big telethon to pack a care package with stamps, entrance cards or fillets. Or a face scanner, depends on how much money we can collect.
At least a big thanks to all our co-exhibitors and colleagues, because of the nice talking and the solidarity we have found between us during that time. Of course also a thank you to all customers and interested people who have visited us on our booth.
